The Coleridge Bridleway, a challenging 33 mile horse ride, was launched last year linking the Quantock Hills and Exmoor.
With the support of local landowners over 4 miles of completely new bridleway access was opened, mainly on the Brendon Hills. Riders can now travel safely between Ralegh's Cross, through Comberow and across Treborough Common to Luxborough.
The route provides a challenging 2 or 3 day ride through Local farms and equine businesses have been showing considerable interest in the route and there are opportunities to stay in horse friendly accommodation on route. The new route provides yet another boost to the local economy, building on the continuing success of The Coleridge Way walking route
Now in its third year, the Coleridge Way, a 36 mile walking route from Nether Stowey in the Quantock Hills to Porlock in Exmoor National Park, continues to go from strength to strength. The Coleridge Way attracts walkers from all over Britain to visit the area and walk the route over 3 or 4 days, staying in accommodation along the route and enjoying local hospitality and produce.
