Rainbow trout at Clatworthy Reservoir
The Wimbleball Fly Fishing Club have a boat equipped for
wheelchair users which is maintained by South West Water. Anyone interested
should book in advance (01837 871565) and take an able bodied helper
with them

Anglers will be in their element at this nationally renowned stocked rainbow trout lake, one of our three premier trout fisheries, set in peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
With miles of bank, plenty of inlets and boat angling, Wimbleball is an experience not to be missed.
The largest fish to be caught is a fantastic 121b 13oz rainbow, and rod average for 2006 was 3.41
A full day permit costs £19.00, with a concessionary rate of £15.50 per full day. Under 16's can fish for just £3 when sharing their guardians' bag limit.
Day permits are available from the Angling and Watersports Centre. Anglers wishing to use a boat should book at least 24 hours in advance on 01398 371460
We also have a wheely boat which enables people using wheelchairs to get on the water. This can be hired for half or full days.
The Trust often runs angling tuition days in conjunction with the Environment Agency. Look out for posters on site, visit our website www.swlakestrust.org.uk or contact the centre for future dates.

Wimbleball Lake is regularly stocked with rainbows up to 8lb to ensure excellent sport. There is a good mayfly hatch in late June/early July. Boats are available, including a Wheelyboat for disabled anglers. To guarantee boats please book at least 24 hours in advance. We also have petrol outboards available for hire.
